What is an escape room?

Escape rooms are like real-life, collaborative video games. A team enters a themed environment with a collaborative goal and limited time. For example, your team must rob the bank before the police arrive in 60 minutes. To win the game against the clock, players find clues and work together to solve a series of interactive puzzles and games.

Why should I try your escape room?

We're the #1 escape game in Tucson according to TripAdvisor and Yelp since 2016! We spend months designing and building our escape games. We're also locally owned, and we support local Tucson businesses and scholarships. For before or after your game, there are many restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance.

Will I be doing this room with strangers?

Nope! Our reservation system ensures that only your group will be in the room for the scheduled time. If you reserve a room at noon for 3 people, only those 3 people will be allowed in the room. We do not sell additional tickets for your reserved time slot.

What time do I need to arrive?

Please arrive to your game anywhere from 5-15 minutes early (for example, if your game is scheduled at 3pm, all members should arrive promptly at 2:45-2:55pm). Each game lasts 60 minutes, but the entire experience is typically 80-90 minutes long. We need 10 minutes before each game to go over instructions. We will call your team five minutes before your start time to ensure your players will arrive on time. If you arrive 10+ minutes after your appointment time, you will be REQUIRED to reschedule. Games cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the original appointment time are subject to a $25.00 fee. We allow at least one free reschedule for a later date.

Team sizes

Team sizes for Bank Robbery, Zombie Lab and Wild West can be between 2 to 6 players. Team sizes for Coming Home can be between 2 to 5 players.

Accessibility

Our rooms are designed with certain accessibilities in mind. We are on the second floor with elevator access. There are no strength-based puzzles. Some puzzles require crouching, and some puzzles require vantage points above five feet. Game Masters are able to speak over the intercom or provide written hints. Seats are available in every game. There are color recognition puzzles in our rooms. If you have further questions, feel free to contact us.

What if I have more than 6 people who want to play?

That's great! Groups larger than six people will be required to split into appropriately sized teams (2-6). We do not allow more than six people per team, due to our puzzle design and to ensure each player has a great experience. For groups larger than six, please select "multiple rooms" during the booking process.

Are players really locked in the rooms?

No. We have no locks on our game doors. Fox in a Box has taken the live escape room experience to the next level. You need to complete the game within 60 minutes, and the main door will be unlocked the entire time. Individuals can enjoy our games and exit the game at any time, if needed.
